Golf Private Sessions Mental Training & Hypnotherapy

Private Sessions last 1 hour, but can go up to 1 ½ hours if the situation calls for it. Sessions can be in-person, but since 90% of my clients live abroad, we do most of their sessions via telephone, Skype, or Facetime, or any combination of that.

The method and process I take clients through is 100% unique. It is based on my personal experience in private practice as a mental trainer and hypnotherapist since 2001, and my work with elite athletes since 2007. My approach is comprehensive and sequential; you would gain not only understanding but an on-going familiarity and mastery over your mental skills. One of the aspects that makes my training unique is my comprehensive understanding of the subconscious due to my training in and use of hypnosis. All my clients learn & practice regular self-hypnosis, a powerful & empowering tool which is then used in performance and in life experiences. Through a program series, I coach you through a topic-specific sequential journey which ultimately increases the frequency of your performance in the ‘zone.’

My preference is to work with a client over a period of time to allow for a more permanent change. Therefore, I suggest clients commit to a series of sessions. As an incentive to encourage people to commit to the process, the package fees are discounted. When a package is purchased, I suggest the entire series of sessions be scheduled, so as to ensure consistency.

      I couldn’t agree more, Tiger Woods’ fall from fabulousness had nothing to do with mechanics!
      Mechanics don’t miraculously disappear.

      Anything that has been repeated numerous times becomes a habit (like driving a car or opening a door handle), once it has been reinforced it occurs with little or no conscious thought… a golfer’s swing stroke is no different. A golfer is fortunate if the stroke that has been repeated over time is a good one!

      Think about what happens in your own head when you get a phone call with extremely disturbing information. Don’t you feel disoriented, foggy headed and unclear? Your performance at whatever you were doing in that moment immediately decreased. Now imagine that you are reminded of that disturbing information everywhere you turn, there is no chance that without good mental skills you would be able to overcome the irritation. Most of us choose to avoid disturbing circumstances in our lives in order to save ourselves from the uncomfortable feelings and distractions.

      Notah Begay and I were talking once about the mechanics and mental skills of PGA TOUR Pros. He pointed out very nicely that you don’t get to the elite level of the PGA TOUR without great mechanics. Therefore, mechanics are a given for all Pros on TOUR. What keeps a Pro on TOUR, or even better, in the top 10 or winning, is their mental skills. A PGA TOUR Pro (and any other golfer) needs to gain mastery over their mind, just as they are gaining mastery over their mechanics.
