Bruce lee was a Hong Kong American martial artist, Hong Kongaction film actor, martial arts instructor, filmmaker, and the founder of Jeet Kune Do.
Amongst all these, Bruce was also quite the philosopher. Along with entertaining people and being one of the best (and most recognized) Martial Artists of recent times, he also had a brilliant outlook on life, and took part in changing the mass consciousness of society with his wisdom. Here are some of his best quotes:
Here are 8 ways to spot emotional manipulation and how to protect yourself from it:
1. There is no use in trying to be honest with an emotional manipulator. You make a statement and it will be turned around. Example: I am really angry that you forgot my birthday. Response – “It makes me feel sad that you would think I would forget your birthday, I should have told you of the great personal stress I am facing at the moment – but you see I didn’t want to trouble you.
I would like you to look at deliberately reinforcing a positive belief system about yourself, your life and your sport. This is a very deliberate action, especially since most of us are programmed to have negative belief systems about ourselves, our lives and the sports we play. This is especially true for those of you who have played a sport for more than a few years and had time to build fears, doubts and negative perceptions or expectations about how you will perform.
There really is no end to success. Success is never final. Even though we have goals, and those goals are met, should we stop, then? What you want to recognize is that there really isn’t a final conclusion. At any moment, your first goal could evolve into something completely different. How many successes have you had in your life, big or small? Did you ever get to a point where you said to yourself; “Well, that’s enough.” and not proceed? Probably not. Because success is never final. Your perceptions of success change with each day, or each behavior or emotion you display, so it is never concrete. “Success Is Never Final, Failure Is Never Fatal; It’s Courage That Counts.”

Mindfulness is “the intentional, accepting and non-judgemental focus of one’s attention on the emotions, thoughts and sensations occurring in the present moment”, which can be trained by a large extent in meditational practices. The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) published the results of a ground-breaking study that found that meditation appears to provide as much relief from some anxiety and depression symptoms as antidepressants.
I am at the point in my life where I love challenges that present themselves, because I know that I become more confident in my abilities to face them each and every time. How do you feel about the challenges you face in golf? Do you welcome them and really enjoy taking them on, or do they frustrate and upset you? How about challenges you face off the course?
Confidence is such a huge part of increasing, or peaking, your athletic performance. Whether you are on the golf course, the clay shooting course, the track, the field, building your confidence is key to a successful outcome. If you lack confidence when you step out onto the golf course, range or event, it does not matter how much you have practiced, memorized, repeated or played prior to that. If you go out with a negative mindset, down attitude, thought or belief, you will not perform well.
Play Like You Practice
Do you play golf like you practice? Do you perform as well in your game as you do when you practice? Or do you feel like you cannot perform as well in your golf game as when you practice? I have a lot of clients who tell me this all the time. Many of them are really confused about how to handle it. They don’t understand why they can have a good swing, drive or putt when practicing or playing in practice rounds, and then go out during the week and have those same good shots not carry over. Of course, more pressure does exist in a tournament than when they practice, but still there is a reason. It’s a mind game. So what can a golfer do?
This is a perfect example of how we can train our brains to commit to a practically unconquerable feat.

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, Calif. (AP) — A pair of Americans on Wednesday completed what had long been considered the world’s most difficult rock climb, using only their hands and feet to conquer a 3,000-foot vertical wall on El Capitan, the forbidding granite pedestal in Yosemite National Park that has beckoned adventurers for more than half a century.

If you believe that you are at the mercy of your genetic code, great news, you’re not. According to the science of epigenetics (the study of how environmental factors outside of DNA influence changes in gene expression), stem cells and even DNA can be altered through magnetic fields, heart coherence, positive mental states and intention. Top scientists around the world agree: genetic determinism is a flawed theory.

No one in the world can fathom what quantum mechanics is, this is perhaps the most important thing you need to know about it. Granted, many physicists have learned to use its laws and even predict phenomena based on quantum calculations, but it is still unclear why the observer of an experiment affects the behavior of the system and causes it to favor one state over another.
Here are some examples of experiments with outcomes which will inevitably be influenced by the observer, which show how quantum mechanics deals with the intervention of conscious thought in material reality.
