In this video, I talk about a deeper pattern that drives so much struggle: when people feel disconnected from peace, purpose, trust, worth, or themselves, they often begin looking outward for something to make them feel better inwardly.
That search can take many forms. Sometimes it looks like overthinking. Sometimes it looks like control. Sometimes it looks like food, scrolling, busyness, shopping, chasing success, or trying to force life to cooperate enough to finally feel okay.
The truth is, many of us are asking outside things to do a job they were never meant to do.
In this message, I explore:
- why disconnection leads to reaching
- how to recognize the patterns you turn to when you feel off
- the difference between what you reach for and what you actually need
- why mindfulness helps interrupt the cycle
- how returning inward can create more peace, truth, and steadiness
This is a powerful reminder that healing does not always begin by getting more from the outside world. Sometimes it begins by pausing, telling the truth, and coming back to yourself.
If you have been feeling emotionally tired, mentally exhausted, spiritually drained, or stuck in cycles of overthinking, reassurance-seeking, or chasing relief, this message is for you.
The next time you feel yourself reaching, pause and ask:
What am I actually feeling right now?
What am I hoping this will give me?
And is this really the right place to look?
